Aunjanue Ellis
Aunjanue Taylor is an American actress and producer best known for the roles she was as the character of Ray Undercover Brother, The Mentalist and The television series The Mentalist. She is a graduate of the BA in African-American Studies and an MFA from Tisch School of Arts New York University. Aunjanue was born in the United States and is an American actor also known as producer and director. She has worked in both film and television. Her career in acting began at the theatre. Then she appeared on numerous television shows as well as independent and mainstream film. She was known for appearing in the role of Miranda Shaw (ABC's Quantico) and on BET's massive The Book of Negroes. The two series garnered reviews, and she also received a number of accolades. She made her professional acting debut as Ariel in The Tempest in 1995. On Broadway she's appeared on stage in Come and Gone A Winter's Tale Seeking the Genesis and Joe Turner's Come and Gone. Her film career is highlighted by her performances as a character in Men of Honor The Caveman's Valentine The Express, and The Help. Also, she is well-known for her part in ABC's crime show High Incident.
